Great Phone. The Motorola Q

Scoble is wanting the Motorola Q, long rumoured as the RAZRberry.

Great phone , look how thin it is! And of course it will run a proper OS, not some in house attempt. A serious Treo Killa!

Its official Microsoft "deleted" the apple headquaters. Or is it?

Scoble has confirmed our suspiciouns that something was up with Microsoft's Virtual Earth and he confirmed that the Cupertino images where older than 9 years when Apple moved to these , their new location.

For those that havn't followed the issue, the deal was that some blogger noticed a big empty patch of space where the the Apple HQ should be and of course everybody and his mom jumped on the "Microsoft deleted Apple" bandwagon.

Of course this is removing attention from the fact that VE is actually a great piece of kit and is gonna mount a serious attack against google's own implementation.

Online mapping IS big right now.

Need an iPod replacement?

c|net is listing the top iPod killers 2005 , have a look.

Some great players there, but I reckon most of them have a long way to go towards beating the iPod's integration with iTunes, which of course now supports Podcasting.

In the news: Podcasting over-hyped?

Leader: Podcasting over-hyped - Comment & Analysis - Breaking Business and Technology News at silicon.com: "So the future is podshaped, then? Possibly - after all it's hard to argue with the enthusiasm of bedroom DJs who can now parade their fine work to the broadest audience."

Some people just don't get it. Sure, Internet radio has been around for years, but personally I never went for it. Why? 'Cause I could never take it with me on my commute or sit and listen to it in the evenings away from the PC and even in bed while relaxing.

Also I don't think people "get" the energy that you can derive from listening to the ramblings (often incoherent) of Dawn & Drew on their show. You just can't get that from a studio produced show , and the unedited "one-take" recording of Geek News Central or The Daily Source Code, really makes you connect with the broadcaster 'cause it feels like you are right there in the studio.

Blake Ross on Firefox and Beyond » The new Firefox tag line

Via Geek News Central, Blake Ross on Firefox and Beyond » The new Firefox tag line.

"If you put my grandfather in a room with God and gave him one question, he would not ask for the meaning of life. He would not inquire as to the existence of poverty or the vagaries of human nature. No, he would ask, and I quoth: Do you use Firefox?"

Funny stuff.
